Last year in 2009 I read a number of political books. Ann Coulter, Dick Morris, and Mark Levin all had terrific insights to the schemes and machinations of the Liberal Democrat Party that has been dominating and controlling policy and decisions from the Dark City lately and for certain most of my life. I read their books and some others.
I also keep up with a few News Magazines that are not full of crap ( i.e. Newsweek, Time, New Republic, and others.) I dropped those periodicals long ago. The National Review celebrated its 50th Anniversary a few years back. That magazine makes me work for my information. It is at times eclectic but I regularly plod through it every fortnight. Sometimes I am barely finished with it as the latest issue arrives at my mailbox. I always read the last page first. Mark Steyn is simply on another level. He is absolutely brilliant.
The monthly Newsmax magazine is more like a National Review for Dummies. Dummies such as myself. It is a lot easier to read, I rarely need to use my dictionary for the big words, and it has a lot more pictures than the National Review does.
I have also perused diverse Internet writers for years now.
My point? I read a lot. I refuse to be ignorant.
So anyhow, this year Dick Morris has another book out. He is making a bit of dough through this "Recession" by simply writing about all of the things that are pissing off us curmudgeons (and others)on a daily basis.
"2010 Take Back America"
Morris certainly provides a lot of data in easy to read form.
He compares America to the European Union and its fiscal polices. (Lots of EZ to read charts too.)
He writes about the intent of our Government to ultmately devalue the Dollar and send us into hyperinflation a la "'the Weimarr Republic."
Money in the bank is going to become essentially worthless.
Our trade agreements with other nations are to be cast aside. Well not exactly, we will just pay back our debts with Dollars that are not even close to the value of the Dollars that were originally lent to us.
What does it all mean? Our children are going to become paupers in the world. Dollars will become essentially worthless around the world.
But wait, the Euro currency is even more worthless. It is still true that the USA is more stable than anyplace else. So for a time we can possibly find international financial redemption.
How?
Policy change. Lower spending.
But that is not happening. Instead we have a POTUS who is determined to outspend any person who has ever lived in the history of the world. Spending money that will be paid back by children not even born yet.
How does he accomplish this?
A compliant Congress that refuses to seriosly take their roles intelligently or seriously.
The Democrats are in complete lockstep with the Obama Administration agenda. They do make the occasional show of a few dissenters, but in the end, the agenda moves forward.
Morris then goes on to identify just which Democrats can be targeted with likely succes this November to help put a stop to all of this insanity.
He names names and he talks about strategy.
This fellow knows his stuff.
Easy to read book, and worth a read, particularly if you live in a potential swing District or State.
Unfortunately Morris apparently does not seem to consider any Massachusetts District as one of the possible victories this coming November.
We will have to wait for the 2010 Census results to help rid our country of at least one of these Massachusetts scoundrels currently holding Office. Though 2012 seems far away right now, it will be infinity if this maniac in the Oval Office is not stopped .
