Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama's Radical Agenda
Item Description
Barack Obama and his radical team of self-professed socialists, fringe activists, and others are trying to remake the American way of life. They have used their new Democratic majority to launch an alarming assault on our capitalist systemwhile abandoning the war on terror, undermining our national security, and weakening our position in the eyes of our enemies. The "candidate of change" is threatening to change our country irreparably, and for the worseif we don't act to stop him now.
Sean Hannity has been sounding the alarms about Obama and his agenda from the start. Nowin his first new book in six yearshe issues a stirring call to action. Hannity surveys all the major Obama playersfrom the president's affiliation with radical theology to his advisers' history of Marxist activism, repression of the media, support for leftist dictators, and worse. He exposes their resulting campaign to dismantle the American free-market system and forfeit our national sovereignty. But he draws on the examples of Ronald Reagan and the GOP's Contract with America to show how conservatives can unite behind this country's most cherished principles and act now to get America back on the right trackwhile we still can.

What we already know......

This, like all of Sean's of books, is a great read. However, the message is old. He circles the wagons around Reagan style Conservatism. The problem? There aren't any Reagan style conservative candidates! If the Republicans plan to take back America, they had better start by kicking all the "liberal Republicans" to the curb, get back on point with the Conservative Message, and stop negotiating with Democrats who have done nothing but show contempt for our individual freedoms!

Worst 25 Cents I Ever Spent

I was down at my local library browsing through the friends of the library store when I noticed a small paperback book shoved beneath the bookshelf. Intrigued, I grabbed the book from under the shelf and examined my find, wow, a copy of Sean Hannity's "Conservative Victory", who would possibly sell this? I took the book up the front desk and was even more surprised when the employee decided to let me have it for a mere 25 cents instead of the usual $1; this must be my lucky day.
Eager to hear everything Mr. Hannity has to say, I rushed home and cracked open the book. For some reason the pages were stuck together and a shinning residue was caked on the back and front cover. I began to think that this book might have been stuffed under that shelf for a reason. Then I read the book. Now I really think that this book was shoved under that bookcase for a reason.
I don't really have much to say regarding Mr. Hannity's "research" or "facts" presented in the book, as I'm not entirely sure he did any. I know it has an index, but upon checking many of the "sources" I found a lot of contradictory evidence.
On the bright side, this book made a great kindling piece for a fire I made yesterday.
Definitely worth your time

Hannity's latest publication is a quick and easy read. I found it to be well-researched and pretty well-edited; however, if you're a regular Hannity listener, this book does not provide you with anything different from what you'd see or hear on the show. He is very upbeat throughout the book and he presents all of his arguments in a very matter-of-fact and reasoned manner. Unlike Ann Coulter, whose every word is seemingly laced with venom, Sean Hannity proves to be articulate and level-headed in this work.
What was most pleasing about he book was the descriptive "Items for Victory" chapter he uses to conclude the book. While I don't necessarily subscribe to all of them as absolutely vital for a conservative resurgence, this chapter is key in putting the finishing touches on Mr. Hannity's argument. He makes a good parallel with, but a clear distinction from 1994's Contract with America and how the "Contract" could be used as a model on which conservatives could campaign in preparation for the 2010 midterm elections.
While it was an easy read, the book does contain a great deal of jargon that really doesn't sound like Hannity - leading me to believe that he did not author this book in its entirety..... probably not a surprise to many of you. Nevertheless, it is worth reading.
Honestly, I struggled

I have listened to Sean Hannity off and on for the last few years, and while I agree with him on various points of political public policy, I greatly struggled to make it through this book.
Don't get me wrong, I struggle with lots of Obama's policies, but I bought this book thinking that it would contain a game plan for 2010, not just a bunch of Obama bashing.
And, as has been noted, Sean has brought up many of these points, if not all of them, on his TV and radio shows. If you stay current with him and his rhetoric, then this book may not be a worthwhile purchase.
